Privacy Policy

We don't collect anything.

That's the whole policy. The rest of this page just says it in the detail a store review or a cautious user might want.

In one sentence

RecencyPulse takes the word you type, puts it in a search URL, opens that page in a new tab, and forgets it.

What we collect

Nothing. RecencyPulse does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or user data.

There is no server behind this extension. There is no account to create, no identifier assigned to you, and no database anywhere holding anything about you.

What happens to your search terms

When you type a topic into the extension and click a platform, the text is used for exactly one thing: building a search URL, which is then opened in a new browser tab.

Your terms are not saved between sessions, not written to browser storage, and not sent to any server operated by the developer. Close the popup and the text is gone.

Permissions

RecencyPulse requests no browser permissions at all. You can verify this on the Chrome Web Store install screen — there is nothing listed to approve.

As a result, the extension cannot:

The only thing it does is open new tabs.

Tracking and analytics

There is no analytics code, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no third-party scripts of any kind inside the extension.

When you leave for Reddit or TikTok

Once a search page opens, you are on Reddit's or TikTok's website, and their own privacy policies and terms apply to that visit — exactly as if you had typed the address yourself.

RecencyPulse has no relationship with those companies and no visibility into what happens after the tab opens.

Children

RecencyPulse does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Verify it yourself

The extension is open source and is roughly a hundred lines of plain JavaScript with no dependencies and no build step. You don't have to take this page's word for any of it — you can read the entire thing in a couple of minutes.

Changes and contact

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date below. Since the extension collects no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
